RIO’s hugely successful AFS head system has been further extended for 2011. No Less than 9 line options (plus 1 starter Kit) ensure that you have just the right head available whatever the river throws up. Several of these options have been designed especially for UK rivers: The Full Aqualux Clear Intermediate head with a sink rate of around 2.0 ips and the much talked about AFS Tracker Versitip: The High Vis floating body comes with four Rio 15’ Interchangeable tips as used in our Versitip Spey Lines making it the most versatile “one line” option available for Sink Tip work. The Tracker Versitip ensures you have the ability to reach and maintain depth in fast water, and lets you deliver bigger flies than a Floating head/Versileadereader combination will allow.

The tips included in a Rio Mesh Wallet are: clear intermediate (1.5 ips, 4 cm/s), DC Type 3 (3 ips, 8 cm/s), DC Type 6 (6 ips, 15 cm/s) and DC Type 8 (8 ips, 20 cm/s) sinking. Each AFS head has RIO’s bulletproof, welded loops in both ends for easy rigging. AFS™ OutBound Integrated Shooting Head has the same taper design as the AFS shooting head but the body continues seamlessly into a thin shooting line.
